Species Details

Thorn-apple is a very rare casual annual of waste land and cultivated ground. Recent records exist scattered throughout the central and southern parts of our area for example from Whitwell (SK5376), Birchover (SK2362) and Derby (SK3?3?). It arises as a contaminant of bird feed and other seeds, and probably originates from the Americas.
