Species Details

Hoary Whitlowgrass is a very rare native biennial or perennial of rock ledges, open grassland and spoil-heaps in the White Peak natural area. The majority of the records are from the north of the area around Deep Dale (SK1072) and Miller’s Dale (SK2374) with an isolated population in Biggin Dale (SK15N & SK15P). Nationally the plant has a northern distribution with the Derbyshire plants being on the southern edge of its British range.
