Species Details

(Locally extinct) Great Sundew was a very rare perennial of wet peat and XXSpagnum moss on upland moors in our area. It was recorded in 1851 for moors near Buxton (SK07), Abney Moors (SK18) and East Moor (SK27). It was then recorded from Matlock (SK35) in 1864 but there have been no more recent records. It is probably locally extinct.

This plant is in Category 6 of the local Red Data List, 2009.
