Species Details

(Locally extinct) Mountain Avens was a very rare native perennial. The sole local record is for near Ashwood Dale (SK07) in 1811 and in the absence of other records some authors (Clapham 1969) have doubted it ever occurred locally. It is a native of upland Britain and a Nationally Scarce species.

This plant is in Category 6 of the local Red Data List, 2009.
