Species Details

Broad Buckler Fern is a common native perennial of woods hedges heaths and moors generally on acidic soils. It occurs throughout our region even in the limestone areas though here it tends to occur on tree bases and rotting logs in woods. It is generally deciduous with us though young plants may be evergreen (Willmot 1989).
