Species Details

Californian Poppy is a very rare casual annual of waste ground and roadsides. This native of south-western North America is often grown in gardens from where it can escape. Six recent sites are known, scattered throughout Derbyshire (Ashbourne SK1746; Nether Handley Tip SK4076; Staveley SK4175; New Bolsover SK4670; Stanton North Lagoon SK4739 and Cotes Park SK4254).
