Species Details

This eyebright is a very rare native annual of damp rough grasslands. The only recent record is from SK06. Previously it was noted scattered through the Peak District including: Black rocks (SK2955) in 1978, Stoney Middleton Dale (SK2175) in 1969, and Combes Moss (SK07), The Winnatts (SK18) and near the Snake Inn (SK19) all for 1903. It has been lost from many sites in central England since 1970 (Preston XXet al. 2002) so our local loss may be real and not just under-recording.
