Species Details

Wood Fescue is a very rare native perennial of moist rocky slopes in woods. Recent records are from two distinct parts of the county, the Matlock area (SK2958) on limestone and the Glossop area (SJ9792) in the Dark Peak. Previous records are from similar areas plus Ashwood Dale (SK07).

This plant is in Category 5a of the local Red Data List, 2009.
