Species Details

Fig is a small casual tree of walls and waste ground especially near sewage works and rivers. There are only a handful of recent records including Littleover Sewage Works (SK3143), the River Rother (SK4175) and the Erewash Canal (SK4838). This native of soth-western Asia is spread by birds or water from sewage or discarded fruit.
