Species Details

Small Cudweed is a very rare native annual of bare areas in grasslands, waste ground and waysides, especially on sandy or stony ground. It previously also occurred on arable land as a weed of cultivation. It was rediscovered locally in 2002 at Willington Power Station (SK3029), and then found at Drakelow Reserve (SK2220) and Carr Vale (SK4669). Previously it occurred at Ogston (SK3760) in 1973, near Repton Rocks (SK32) in 1903, and at Findern (SK33) in 1829.

This plant is in Category 5a of the local Red Data List, 2009.
