Species Details

Manna Ash is a very rare planted tree of hedges and waysides. The sole two records, both recent, are from Radbourne Lane (SK2935) and Erewash Canal (SK4741). As it is virtually indistinguishable from Ash (XXF. excelsior) except when flowering, it is probably under-recorded. It is indigenous to southern Europe.
