Species Details

Common Fumitory is a scrambling native annual of cultivated ground and waste places. It is frequent throughout our area except for the northern moors of the Dark Peak. Two subspecies occur, subspecies XXofficinalis which occurs throughout the area of the parent species, and subspecies XXwirtgenii which occurs in the east of our area generally avoiding the heavier soils of the Trent Valley and Southern Claylands.
