Species Details

Heath Cudweed is a very rare, native perennial of dry open woods, heaths and grasslands of the southern part of the Dark Peak. In the past it occurred more widely throughout the county from ???? (SJ98) in the north-west to Edlaston Coppice (SK1743) and ???? (SK22) in the south. This contraction of range is mirrored over much of Britain particularly the west (Stace, 1997). It is a UK Biodiversity Action Plan Species of Conservation Concern.

This plant is in Category 2 of the local Red Data List, 2009.
