Species Details

Coral Necklace is a very rare casual annual of bare stony ground with no recent records. It was first discovered in 1973 on railway ballast at Langley Mill (SK4547), straddling the county boundary. The site has since been destroyed, but material was translocated to Ironville (SK4450) where it was last recorded in 1978. It was also found at Mapperley (SK4343) in 1976 but that site was also destroyed. It is a Nationally Scarce plant and a native of south-western England.
