Species Details

Orange Balsam is a newly established annual that now occurs along the length of the Trent and Mersey Canal from Willington (SK2928) to Shardlow (SK4430) , then along the Trent to Sawley (SK4731). It has also been recorded from a marsh at Drakelow Power Station (SK2220) . This North American native is currently expanding its range nationally (Preston XXet al. 2002) and may be expected to do so locally.
