Species Details

Bristle Club-rush is a tufted native annual of damp open areas in marshes, moors and grasslands, generally on acidic or at least infertile soils. There are occasional records, spread across Derbyshire from Longdendale (SK0799, vc58) and Holmesfield (SK3178) in the north, to Woodlands Field (SK3440) and Chellaston (SK3829) in the south. A recent occurence in Long Eaton (SK4832) was a garden escape.
