Species Details

Sharp-flowered Rush is a native perennial of wet grasslands, marshes, swamps and moorland flushes usually on acid soils. It is frequent throughout the South West Peak, Dark Peak and Peak Fringe as at Long Clough (SK0392), Westend Valley (SK1493) and Flash Dam (SK36C). Elsewhere it is rare for example at Bonsall Brook (SK2759) in the White Peak, and Golden Brook (SK4633) and Linton (SK2716) in the Trent Valley.
