Species Details

This hybrid of Jointed Rush (XXJ. articulatus) and Sharp-flowered Rush (XXJ. acutiflorus) is a very rare native perennial of marshy areas. The sole local record is from the north of our area (SK28) for around 1950. Nationally it is common where its parents occur together, and as they often do so locally, it is probably under-recorded.
