Species Details

Slender Rush is a recently-established tufted perennial of damp bare ground by waysides. It is rare throughout the north of our area as at Dinting Wood (SK0194), Crook Hill (SK1886), Northwood (SK2664) and Cromford Canal (SK3452). Previously it also occurred in the south as at Ticknall Quarries (SK3623) in 1971. It is a native of North and South America.
