Species Details

Sheep-laurel has been recorded as growing in our area after 1950 but has not been seen since 1986. It was noted as a very rare, established, evergreen shrub in 1972 near Darley Dale (SK2865) on the site of a nursery abandoned 60 years before. Naturally it occurs in eastern North America.
