Species Details

Wilson’s Honeysuckle is a casual evergreen shrub of waysides hedges and waste ground. It occurs very rarely scattered throughout our area from Marple Bridge (SJ9689) and Shirebrook (SK5267) in the north, to Newhall (SK2920) and the Bretby Woods area (SK22W) in the south. It is frequently planted in gardens for hedging from where its seeds are spread by birds (Preston XXet al. 2002). It originates from China.
