Species Details

Garden Cat-mint is a very rare casual perennial of roadsides, tips and waste ground. There are recent records from Perryfoot (SK1081), Freebirch Farm (SK3072), Ashbourne (SK1746) and Melbourne (SK3925) plus an earlier one from Coombs Dale (SK2274) in 1973. These introductions will be via throw-outs following garden cultivation. This plant is of horticultural origin, from the hybridisation of two non-native cat-mints (XXN. racemosa and XXN. nepetella).
