Species Details

White Water-lily is an attractive native perennial of ponds, rivers and canals, with star-like white flowers set against floating green leaves. It is occasional throughout lowland Derbyshire, but rarely occurs over 150m {North Road Ponds SK0395}. Often planted as an ornamental , it is almost impossible to distinguish native from naturalised records, so both are mapped here.
