Species Details

Hemlock Water-dropwort is a rare native perennial of marshy areas at the margins of rivers and canals, and in wet woods. This species is confined presently to the corridor of the River Trent, from Drakelow Power Station (SK2220), through Newton Solney (SK2826) and Swarkestone (SK3728), to Trent Lock (SK4831). Clapham (1969) recorded it only for a "canal near Repton" (SK32), so it appears to have spread in recent years.
