Species Details

Tubular Water-dropwort is a very rare native perennial of the margins of ponds and rivers. Recent records are confined to the corridors of the Rivers Dove and Trent south of Derby (Marston-on-Dove SK2328, Stanton-by-Bridge SK3627 & Trent Lock SK4931). Previously it also grew further north with records for Sterndale (SK06), Renishaw (SK47) and Pinxton (SK45), all for 1903. Nationally it is a lowland species with the Derbyshire localities on the north-western margin of its main distribution.

This plant is in Category 2 of the local Red Data List, 2009.
