Species Details

(Locally extinct) River Water-dropwort was a very rare native perennial. It was recorded for the Tutbury region (SK22) in 1863 and for Burton-on-Trent (SK22) in 1889. It has probably been lost due to pollution or river management. Nationally it is a plant of southern and eastern England, and was on the north-western margin of its distribution when it occurred here.

This plant is in Category 4 of the local Red Data List, 2009.
