Species Details

Narrow-leaved Water-dropwort is a very rare, newly established perennial. The sole recent records are from Priestcliffe Lees (SK1572) and Long Eaton (SK43W). It was previously recorded for the former site in 1985. The origin of these local records is uncertain and puzzling since the plant is decreasing elsewhere (Stace 1997). It is a native of southern and eastern England with the Derbyshire localities on the north-western margin of its national distribution (Preston XXet al. 2002).
