Species Details

Large-flowered Evening-primrose is an established biennial of open disturbed habitats whose populations rapidly decline as sites grow over. It is occasional, and locally abundant, throughout the lowland parts of our area (Lock Lane Ash Tip SK4831, Renishaw SK47P and Stretton SK36V), but only very rare in the upland north and west (Simmondley SK0293). It is a native of North America.
