Species Details

Common Restharrow is a low-growing native perennial of well-drained and unimproved grasslands. It occurs occasionally in the White Peak and Magnesian Limestone Natural Areas, as at Dale Head (SK1276), Youlgreave (SK2164), Bonsall Leys (SK2657), Markland Grips (SK5074) and Langwith Junction (SK5268). It is rare elsewhere, but with sites ranging between Dove Bank (SK1034), Chellaston East (SK3830) and Longdendale (SK1099). Our plants are probably all subspecies Xxrepens.
