Species Details

Bird’s-foot is a very rare native winter annual of disturbed ground and field borders, favouring gritty, bare areas. Current records are from lowland parts in the south and east. {Drakelow Power Station SK2219; Stenson Bubble SK3230 and South Normanton SK4657}. It avoids limestone areas, but formerly occurred over a slightly wider area, including Edlaston Coppy (SK14) and Longstone Edge (SK27).

This plant is in Category 5b of the local Red Data List, 2009.
