Species Details

Stinking Chamomile was an anciently established annual of arable land and waste ground. There are no recent records; it occurred occasionally throughout the county, from High Rake (SK1677) and Beauchief (SK3381 now modern S.Yorks.) in the north, through Yeldersley (SK2144) and near Hartington (SK1259), to Overseal (SK2915) in the south. This local loss mirrors a national decline since 1962, due to more effective herbicides (Preston XXet al. 2002).

This plant is in Category 2 of the local Red Data List, 2009.
