Species Details

Amphibious Bistort is an occasional native perennial of both aquatic and terrestrial habitats. It grows and flowers in the margins of still and slow-flowing water bodies. It also grows more vigorously but rarely flowers on banks by water, on rough ground and even as a weed of cultivated land. It is occasional in the lowland parts of our county but is much rarer in the upland areas of the White and Dark Peak.
