Species Details

Sitka Spruce is a large evergreen tree that is recorded rarely as a newly established species in plantations and woods. It occurs mainly in the Dark Peak for example at Upper Longdendale (SK1099), Edale (SK1285), Oyster Clough (SK1291) and Clough Wood (SK2561). It is grown for timber and ornament, and is a native of western North America.
