Poa palustris
Swamp Meadow-grass
Species Details
Swamp Meadow-grass is a casual tufted perennial of damp grasslands and cultivated ground. There are no recent records and only two previous ones; from a market garden at
Ashbourne (SK1746) in 1956, and Bretby Pond (SK32) in 1954. It was sown as a fodder grass and has sometimes been introduced in imported grain. It is indigenous to central Europe.
