Species Details

Equal-leaved Knotgrass is a procumbent native annual that is recorded occasionally throughout our area except for the Dark Peak where it is recorded as very rare. It grows in all kinds of open ground including arable land and trampled areas. Previously it was recorded with Knotgrass (XXP. aviculare) as an aggregate and it is still probably under recorded due to confusion with this plant. Its true frequency should most likely be very common.
