Species Details

Hard Shield-fern is an evergreen native perennial of woods hedges and shaded rock outcrops. It is occasional in the White Peak as at Priestcliffe Lees (SK1572) and Bruns Wood (SK2456) but rare and local elsewhere (Upper Derwent SK1193, Boylestone SK1835, Ticknall Limeyards SK3623 & Markland Grips SK5074).
