Species Details

Small Pondweed is a very rare native, submerged aquatic of still and slowly moving waters. Current records are from the northern and central parts of the area (Highfield Lane SK2844 and Hardwick Hall SK4563) including both limestone (Hassop Park SK2171) and non-limestone areas (Watford Lodge SK0086). Previously it was recorded from the same areas and also grew in the south of the county as at Drakelow Reserve (SK2220).
