Species Details

Hybrid Cinquefoil is a very rare native perennial of waysides and waste ground. Recent records are all from the northern part of Derbyshire {Snake Plantation SK1091; Darley Dale SK2664, Whitwell Wood SK5277} although it was previously also known further south. This hybrid of Trailing Tormentil (XXP. anglica) and Creeping Cinquefoil (XXP. reptans) often occurs in the absence of its parents.
