Species Details

Wild Cherry is a native tree of woods and hedges that occurs occasionally throughout our area as at Millington Green (SK2547), Pistern Hill (SK3420) and Cresswell Crags (SK5374). It is also planted for ornament and fruit in parks and gardens, and increasingly on roadsides and in amenity plantings. Its natural distribution is thus very difficult to determine.
