Species Details

Wild Celery is a very rare casual biennial of damp, often waste ground. The sole recent record is from Golden Valley (SK4251), and there are previous records for Dimple (SK2960) in 1969, Matlock (SK26) 1903 and Pinxton (SK45) in 1789. Whether these records refer to the native form that occurs wild near British coasts or to cultivated forms is unknown.
