Species Details

(Locally extinct) Small-white Orchid was a very rare native perennial of short upland grassland. It was last seen prior to 1939 in the Goyt Valley (SK0176), and also from the Glossop area (SK09) before 1903. A plant of upland Britain, our two sites are on the south-eastern margin of its main English distribution.

This plant is in Category 6 of the local Red Data List, 2009.
