Species Details

Holm Oak is a very rare evergreen tree that is sometimes planted in parks and on roadsides for ornament. All records are from the lowland eastern parts of our county. The three areas where there are recent records from are Barlow (SK3474), Erewash (SK43) and Ilkeston/Shipley (SK44). It is a native of the Mediterranean and south-western Europe.
