Species Details

Burnet Rose is a low native shrub. It is occasional to locally frequent in the White Peak on rough grassland, in scrub and on limestone screes and outcrops. Specimen localities are Deep Dale (SK1072), High Tor Woods (SK2959) and Parwich (SK1854). The only recent record elsewhere is on a railway bank at Staveley (SK4375). Previously it was recorded more widely outside the White Peak, as at Chapel (SK08), Rough Heanor (SK33) and Dale (SK43) all for 1903.
