Species Details

This is a native bramble of woods and hedges. All recent records are from the north-western corner of our area, for example near Glossop (SK0492) and Kettleshulme (SJ9982 v.c.58). Previously it was recorded as common throughout the county from Hackenthorpe (SK48) for 1903 in the north, through the Via Gellia (SK2757) for 1969, to Pistern Hill (SK32) for 1903 in the south.
