Species Details

Raspberry is a common native shrub of hedges woods waste and rough ground throughout our area, becoming rarer only on the high moors of the Dark Peak and some intensively-farmed areas of the lowlands. It is also widely grown in gardens for its fruit and many plants, particularly in the lowlands, are probably the result of escapes from cultivation.
