Species Details

Mossy Sandwort is a very rare established perennial of walls, and is a native of western Mediterranean islands. In Derbyshire it probably originates from nearby gardens where only two locations are known: Calton Lees (SK2568) and Haddon Hall courtyard (SK2366). Both were only recorded in the 1970s, though the latter site was re-confirmed in 2004.
