Species Details

Thrift is a casual tufted perennial that has been recorded once as growing in a natural-looking situation in our area. This was on the verge of the A623 near Wall Cliff (SK1477) in 2001 where it had the appearance of a roadside halophyte rather than a garden escape or throwout. The plant is a native of British coasts and mountains.
