Species Details

Lords-and-ladies is a common native perennial of woods, hedges and plantations. It is widespread throughout Derbyshire, except for the Dark Peak and the South West Peak, and has the local name of Priest’s Pintle (Grigson 1975). Planlife's Common Plant Survey recently showed it making significant gains in boundary feature habitats.
