Species Details

Nottingham Catchfly is a rare native perennial of the White Peak, where it grows in grassland and light woodland on the edges and ledges of limestone outcrops, often with a southerly aspect. Typical localities include: Deep Dale (SK0971); Chee Dale (SK1273) and Biggin Dale (SK1457). It is a Nationally Scarce species, growing locally in southern Britain, with the White Peak forming its northern limit.

This plant is in Category 2 of the local Red Data List, 2009.
