Species Details

Unbranched Bur-reed is a native perennial of the margins of ponds and slow moving streams that sometimes grows as a floating plant. It occurs rarely throughout our county except for the South West and Dark Peak areas where it is virtually absent. Specimen localities are Booth Farm (SK0568) and Pebley (SK4878) in the north; Cromford Canal (SK3452); and Edingdale (SK2111) and Netherseal (SK2812) in the south.
